For what reason have you neglected such a great Salvation?

For what reason have you neglected such a great Salvation?
Isaiah 1:18
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

St Matthew 22:2-5
The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son.
And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:

Galatians 3:3-4
Are ye so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
Have ye suffered so many things in vain? If it be yet in vain.

St Luke 14:16-20
Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many:
And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.
And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.
And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused.
And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.

The devil has reasoned with many of you, and convinced you that for whatever reason, now you want to be excused. Excused from coming to prayer service. Excused from reading your Bible. Excused from coming to Church Service. Excused from giving.

The devil can't come to you and say, "Go on to the Club tonight, or Go on take a drink." You know that's the devil. So he tells you to relax, you deserve a day off from Church. You're one of the Saints that's at Church all the time. He starts giving you reasonable excuses. HAVE ME EXCUSED!! With every excuse you become weaker and weaker, until that day when you hear that cry - The Philistines be upon thee. And you're too weak to fight your enemy. The enemy of your flesh.

St Matthew 26:41
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the Spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Remember Samson!!
Judges 16:20
And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the Lord was departed from him.

Hebrews 2:1-3
Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

How shall we escape? We can do nothing without Him?

1Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Your adversary the devil, he stalks you. Watching how weak you have become. He says, "Wait, let her miss a few more Church services. She will be weaker, she no longer goes to pray." How are you going to escape the attacks of the devil and your own flesh? The lust of the flesh; The lust of the eyes; The pride of life. You can't escape these things without Christ!!!

If you're in this state of neglect, return immediately to Christ and repent!!! Take on His strength, His grace, His enabling power to resist the devil. Remember the Cross!!! The work that was done in you their.

2Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Romans 8:10-16
And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
for if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.

1Timothy 4:16
Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
